Dr. Jennifer Iannaccone and the Wooded Acres Team
Jennifer Iannaccone, DVM, CVA
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Iannaccone grew up on Long Island, graduating from Rocky Point High School. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Virginia Tech after which she spent a year as an Americorps*VISTA volunteer, serving underprivileged communities in Connecticut.
She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University after completing clinical rotations at Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. She returned to Long Island to work as an associate veterinarian for 7 years in Port Jefferson. Dr. Iannaccone opened Wooded Acres Animal Hospital in 2006. In 2017 she expanded her education and became certified in acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
With two decades of experience, Dr. Iannaccone leads with compassion and precision. Her experience in medicine and acupuncture gives her a thoughtful, whole-body approach to your pet’s care.
Kelly Garrison, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Garrison has been with Wooded Acres Animal Hospital since 2011. Though originally growing up in upstate New York, she moved to Long Island and received her degree in Biology from Stony Brook University in 2005.
She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at St. Georges University after completing a year of clinical rotations a the Univeristy of Wisconsin in 2010.
Melissa Hartmann, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Growing up on Long Island, Dr. Hartmann graduated from Smithtown High school and later attended Stony Brook University, completing her Bachelor’s in Biology in 2011.
She later completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee, practicing for 2 years in Florida before returning to Long Island and joining our Wooded Acres team!

Jill handles everything “behind the scenes” to keep the hospital running smoothly so that our team can focus on your pet. She is very involved in client and patient care and works closely with the hospital owner.
